Review & Rating Moderation

Review & Rating Moderation allows administrators to control which reviews and ratings are published on the storefront.
Admins can choose to approve all reviews or selectively moderate reviews that contain threat words or abusive content.

This helps maintain a safe, trustworthy, and high-quality marketplace experience.

Purpose of Review & Rating Moderation​

Review moderation helps to:

  • Control the quality of reviews shown on the storefront
  • Prevent abusive, threatening, or inappropriate content
  • Ensure reviews follow platform rules and guidelines
  • Maintain brand trust and platform credibility
  • Provide admin oversight before reviews are published

Key Review Moderation Features​

  • Enable or disable review moderation at the admin level
  • Moderate product reviews and customer ratings
  • Option to approve all reviews or only selected reviews
  • Automatic filtering of reviews containing threat or abusive words
  • Centralized review and rating approval management in SMP

Steps to Configure Review Moderation​

  1. Navigate to Settings → Moderation in the Store Management Portal.
  2. Enable the Review Moderation option.
  3. Choose the moderation type:
    • All Reviews – all submitted reviews are sent for admin approval.
    • Selective Reviews – only reviews containing threat words or abusive language are sent for approval.
  4. Review the selected configuration.
  5. Save the settings to apply review moderation rules.

Once configured, review visibility on the storefront will follow the defined moderation rules.
